Cast iron radiators are often known for their ornate and decorative designs, but it is just as true that less can be more with the right casting and colour combinations. These five smooth-faced castings are often selected in one of the popular Farrow and Ball finishes or a similarly classic heritage paint finish. The simple addition of an optional embossed end-bushing can easily be enough to add a beautiful detail to these radiators.
The Minster and Napoleon are probably the simplest of the designs available, and best suit a flat or metallic paint finish. When moving on to the Stanton or Harcourt the castings might also benefit from an antique wash or polish to really highlight the detail of the edges of these castings.
